Who Are
We?
The aim of TRANSPEAK WALKS is to build on
the good work of the Hope Valley High Peak Transport Partnership
sustained over the last 10 years and continue to be the best, most
professional guided walks organisation in the Peak District.

Peter Wild
Lives in Edgeley, Stockport. Business Manager with wide experience of
planning, organising and implementation of training programmes. Member
of the R.A. and has led walks for 11 years, 3 years for the HVHPTP as a
leader and back-up. Awareness of H&S issues, First Aid trained. Has
organised and taught Navigation and Leadership for Walk Leaders.
Andy Wilkie
Lives in Buxton and works for Derbyshire County Council Adult Social Services as projects and planning assistant analysing social care needs data. AAT qualified in accountancy. Has been a keen walker since first climbing Kinder at 16. Been stepping out with TPW for the last 4 to 5 years.
Michael Hayward
Lives in Bramhall, Stockport. Works as a Regional Transport Officer, so is
considered our "expert" on all transport related matters. Has been a
regular participant in the Rail Walks programme for many years.
Julie Whitehouse
Lives in Glossop and recently returned to work as a Teaching Assistant in a
local primary school. Has recently discovered the wonder of walking and
has offered to help with designing and maintaining the website and
publicity literature.
Angela Ritchie
Lives in Stockport. Employed in the field of Social Work within Government
Agencies and Charities for many years. Currently supervises and aims to
motivate people from a wide variety of backgrounds and with very
differing needs. Holds the CQSW qualification. Enjoys hill-walking in
all seasons and has acted as assistant on walks for the HVHPTP. Holds a
current First Aid certificate.>
