Our Walk Leaders

Peter Wild
Lives in Edgeley, Stockport. Business Manager with wide experience of planning, organising and implementation of training programmes. Member of the R.A. and has led walks for 11 years, 3 years for the HVHPTP as a leader and back-up. Awareness of H&S issues, First Aid trained. Has organised and taught Navigation and Leadership for Walk Leaders.

Bob Findlow
Lives in Marple, Stockport. Part-time Peak Park Ranger since 1991 based at Hayfield. Involved with the Hope Valley & High Peak Transport Partnership since the late 90's. Experienced hill walker and guided walk leader. Ranger-trained in hill navigation. Holds current First Aid certificate.

John Clayton
Wide experience of hill walking on both the White and Dark Peaks. For the past 7 years, a Peak District National Park Ranger mainly patroling in the Dark Peak.  Lead walks also for a midweek walking group based in Sheffield. First aid trained.

Clare Kelly
Have lived in Sheffield for four years and enjoy exploring the Peak District.  Worked for Exodus for 5 years as a tour leader leading walking holidays abroad and mainly in Italy but also in Nepal, Morrocco, Mexico and Austria. Currently working towards Mountain Leader Certificate. First aid trained.

John Howson
Peak Park Ranger, assistant to Area Ranger based at Stanage Edge Briefing Centre, work part time (alternate Sundays), helping people to enjoy their leisure time and ensure everyone is aware of the countryside code. Provide backup support for Edale Mountian Rescue Service. Help to protect birds, wildlife, footpaths and do conservation work.  Guided walk leader/backup for Transpeak Walks, Walk with a Ranger leader/backup and local Wingerworth Parish.  Member of Chesterfield Gilbert & Sullivan Society doing shows and concerts for deserving causes.  Fellow member of National Trust, Derbyshire Wildlife and the RSPB.  Also enjoy gardening and camping - when I get chance! Tend to lead a busy life!! First aid trained.
